After departing from Châmes, you navigate progressively through the Ardèche Gorges Nature Reserve, crossing majestic cliffs, wild beaches and crystal-clear waters. The highlight remains the cathedral rock formation.
The descent alternates between calm passages and fun rapids, perfect for combining relaxation and gentle sensations. Numerous natural beaches dot the route and allow you to take swimming or picnic breaks at your own pace.
The arrival is at Sauze, after approximately 5 to 6 hours of actual paddling, depending on the river flow and time spent on breaks. This route is ideal for those who wish to experience a complete immersion in the Ardèche Gorges in a single day.
